An exceptionally detailed monochrome study of the embossed relief façade of the mid-century modern Socony-Mobil Building in Manhattan. This work is on display at the Palos Verdes Library Annual Community Art Show from November 13, 2026 through January 3, 2027.
Printed to the highest standards, this framed metal print was created by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets with a sheer glossy surface. The metal shows through the image, providing a unique translucent luminescence complementing the stainless-steel of the subject’s iconic architecture.
Fitted on the back with a 3/4" inset frame recessed from the edges, the print appears to float away from the wall when installed. This work is uniquely durable, with an ultra-hard scratch-resistant and waterproof surface. It can be cleaned easily, and with proper care and kept away from direct sunlight, it should last a lifetime or longer.
Dimensions: 21” x 31” x 2”
