Rignano sull'Arno 2

I was not expecting this foggy scene on a pleasant October morning from the villa where we were staying above the small town of Rignano sull’Arno, near Florence, Italy. As I began photographing the clouds and the hills across the Arno River Valley, individual images seemed merely okay. The dark ridge undulating through the shifting clouds intrigued me. So on the spot, I conceived a final panoramic image to capture its length, stitching together a series of portrait-oriented photos in post-processing. I love this sort of found scene that challenges me to capture the feeling of the place and time.

This fine wall art is available in two limited edition sizes (5 each). Each is printed to the highest standards with a satin finish on Fujiflex Crystal Archive photographic paper using the silver halide process and mounted to an Aluminum Composite (ACM) substrate, with a ¾” French Cleat, ready to hang.
